Bitwise has announced the launch of four crypto ETPs on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) retail segment. This launch will take place on October 21, 2025. It is the first time UK retail investors will have regulated access to Bitcoin and Ethereum via ETPs on a Recognised Investment Exchange.
The FCA has changed its stance on retail crypto ETPs. This means cryptocurrency exchange-traded products can be sold to everyone in the UK market. This will lead to the more mainstream exposure of retail investors to crypto assets. Bitwise has moreover cut fees on its flagship Bitcoin ETP to just 0.05%, which makes it one of the cheapest products in the market. These ETPs provide new investors with access to assets that are physically backed, transparent, institutional-grade, and secure.
